Long-time veteran comedian Fidelman, performs his critically acclaimed one man show, "The Adoption Diaries," a hilarious and personal piece!
Start out the New Year with a bang and a burst of guffaws as humorist Marty Fidelman presents his comedic artistry at the charming, enchanting Sidewalk Studio Theatre in the heart of Toluca Lake (across from the infamous Bob's Big Boy).

Marty's favorite part about entertaining in front of a live audience is to "share the truth, make them laugh, & move them emotionally." He admits there are challenges to presenting such a personal topic. "I don't want to omit the important parts of the story & I don't want it to be just joke, since I'm dealing with a sensitive subject."
Fidelman's unusual & taxing road to finding his parents of origin motivated him to create "The Adoption Diaries."He wanted to help others by divulging the difficulties he encountered during the process.
Marty's sharp savvy, witty humor, calm confident captivating stage presence, and clever streetwise down to earth style, has been welcomed at Comedy Clubs across the country. He's performed at many venues, e.g. the lounge at the Sahara Las Vegas, the Laugh Factory, the Comedy Store, private corporate events, & individualized shows for special occasions.
According to Fidelman, he was conceived in New York after a Bachelor party. Born and bred in Minnesota, he started writing jokes when he wasn't freezing his butt off. After living in Hawaii, he realized that being a professional surfer wasn't his passion, subsequently playing baseball and football instead.
A seasoned traffic school instructor, Marty worked with professional athletes and comedians, subsequently penning quips for them. He hosted "Sex Appeal with Marty" on Century Cable television and taught comedy at Columbia College in Hollywood.
Fidelman considers Woody Allen (he read all of his books), The Three Stooges, Rodney Dangerfield, and Richard Pryor, his comedic role models. Marty's advice for aspiring jesters is to "avoid negative people and keep writing."
Performances of "The Adoption Diaries" are Friday & Saturday January 20-21, 8pm, at the Sidewalk Studio Theatre, 4150 Riverside Drive, Toluca Lake (across from Bob's Big Boy).
